Adventurous Days to Have In Richmond this Season!
It’s a three day weekend coming up for us and we have been talking about being intentional to put aside the business and to-do list for a little bit and fully soak in this fun season! Traveling around Europe has taught me to enjoy my own city in a new sort of way - I suppose it took me going around the world to realize what a beautiful city Richmond can be! Some of our little weekend dates we’ve been talking about sounded so fun I thought I’d share them with you!
Have a tasty little brunch at the Amuse restaurant with a view, and stroll around the VMFA gallery and sculpture gardens after!
Cozy up for a great cup of Joe and a book at Blanchard’s coffee, then stroll around the monument avenue neighborhoods!
Enjoy some sunshine on the belle isle walking paths, then follow it up with dinner at Brenner Pass.
Go to the brunch market - it’s open November 17 and December 15 and 22 to browse from some local Christmas gifts. If you’re hungry get some lunch at ZZQ or hard cider at Blue Bee!
If you want to take a drive outside Richmond, stroll around the Monticello trails and then get wine or cider at carter’s mountain, then head into Charlottesville for a cozy dinner. We did this exact thing last weekend and went to Little Star, and it was delicious! There are a lot of cute restaurants in that area so just walk around and see what strikes your fancy!
Go to Sherando Lake for a picnic - maybe some hearty stew and apple crips, and take a hike around the lake or canoe on it. Then go to Pippin Hill OR go home and cozy up for a movie!
Go vintage shopping at rosewood, home 68, and brick and mortar, then sit for a coffee and quirk!
I hope there will be plenty more pretty weather weekends to do all these fun things! It looks like we have cold but beautiful weather coming up! The idea of a little staycation is quite tempting for me, as we’ve had pretty hectic schedules around here. I can’t wait to get out and do some of these things this weekend. I hope that perhaps they may have inspired you, too!
