Who Is She?

Who really is The Modern Gentlewoman?

She’s got mystique, this wondrous woman.

She is what we are growing toward…
The modern woman manifests in one way as an archetype which we, The Modern Gentlewoman Republic, are growing towards. She is an emblem that inspires us! She is the being we want to cultivate within ourselves! She is the part of ourselves that we like, want to see more of, and want to become.

The Kindred Spirit We Always Wanted. . .
She’s the one that supports us and tells us to give ourselves grace, tells us to savor the everyday moments, tells us life is not a race to accomplishment and doing everything in all of the pressure, but rather a precious gift of time to delight in, and is best spent living well in the moment we are given. She’s the one that tells us to care for our bodies, but delight in chocolate and wine because those are beautiful things. She gives us just the advice we need, but she also knows when to just support. She celebrates life alongside us. She’s full of laughter even while having known the depths of sorrows. She’s our bosom bud. Yes, she is the kindred spirit we always wanted!

She is in all of us. . .
The heart and soul, the very substance, of The Modern Gentlewoman is in…us. Truly, The Modern Gentlewoman is in all of us who align with the values of the modern gentlewoman. YOU are the breath and life of her. You are what makes her real, true, and exquisitely beautiful. You are the one that brings her alive in the way you cultivate beauty and see it in the ordinary, in the way that you are a woman who desires to live well. YOU are the truest form of The Modern Gentlewoman!

She is penned by…
Of course, I am writing as The Modern Gentlewoman. I’m the woman behind her, is her, created her. Perhaps it feels a little bit better to share as something that is not quite me, yet quite me, at the same time? Do you know what I mean? She’s who I write as, what I want to be, and who I see -  the the kindred women around me. Indeed, she is wholeheartedly inspired by...YOU!

She IS indeed a wondrous woman, isn’t she? An archetype, a kindred, most importantly, you, and me. She’s for all of us and in all of us!
